"The local device name is already in use" error?

I have 8 pc's with winxp and 1 server pc with win2000...

i get this error while using a real estate program called ''aci''

"The local device name is already in use" .

this site suggests this to create a new network mapping..

i dont know how to do it..please give a step by step..

To remove an existing network mapping:

1. Open windows explorer

2. Open My Network Places.

3. You should see your existing network mappings here. If you do not, try opening "Entire Network"

4. Select the mapping you want to remove and right click on it.

5. Select Delete. This will remove the network mapping.

To add a new network mapping.

1. In Windows Explorer, select Tools/Map Network Drive

2. For folder, enter the server name and share name you wan to connect to like this: \\server\share. If you don't knwo the share name, select the Browse... button and browse to it.
