I was having trouble installing IIS (Internet Information Services), so i went to: http://support.microsoft.com/Default.asp... andfollowed the steps. At the end, however, where it says '6. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

xpsp2 /integrate:Drive:\winxp '.

When I did this, command promt said "xpsp2 is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. HEEELLPPPP!!!!!

Sounds like you need to install XP service pack 2 on your server first.

Do you have to use IIS? If you can use any web server, I would suggest using Apache web server. It is available for many operating systems:

go read the FAQ's on the page you were on or contact them for help.
If you are not so keen on IIS, then you could try out "EasyPHP", its a free download from the internet, it includes Apache,MySql,PHP. All you need to run your own website from home PC. You will see its much simpler and it comes with a powerful database. Here's the link http://easyphp.org/telechargements.php3
On windows XP professional Machine just try to go to control panel then add/.remove program. there you have a option add/remove windows component just click on that. when the diolog loads you have to select checkboxes for various services. just click on IIS service and then press next after that it will ask for winxp cd and the rest of the thing will be done by the system.
